Sapore Aroldo is a liquid rye sourdough. Aroldo has its origins in Germany, which is well known for its huge variety of rye breads. Sapore Aroldo helps the rise of the bread and lends it rye notes and a prickling acidity.
Sapore Fidelio is a liquid San Francisco wheat sourdough. The origin of San Francisco sourdough goes back to the California Gold Rush of 1849. Some of the French immigrants who came seeking their fortune started to make bread according to the pure French tradition of sourdough. However, this time the sourdough was made under the influence of local airborne micro- organisms in San Francisco. The result: a sourdough with a delicate sourness and at a higher dosage a reddish coloured bread with a crusty crust.
