Working Method

  1. Place margarine into a mixing bowl that has been fitted with a flat beater.
  2. Add scone mix and mix on slow speed for 3 minutes until crumbs are formed.
  3. Add water or milk mix for 1 minutes on slow speed.
  4. Scrape down and mix on 2nd speed for 2 minutes.
  5. Turn out onto a dusted surface, roll out to a thickness of 2 - 3 cm.
  6. Press out with a cutter ± 8 cm in diameter.
  7. Place scone on pan, egg wash liberally and rest for 15 minutes.
  8. Bake at 210° C for 10 - 15 minutes with damper closed.
